# Who, Why, How?
## Who
IC Analytics is the vehicle by means of which [Ignacio Chechile's](https://www.ignaciochechile.com) experience and lessons learned in space, systems engineering, mission-critical software, and startups reach those who need it.
## Name and Logo

The logo represents not only (and somewhat obviously) my initials, but also stands for **I**ndependent **C**onsultancy, which is a central aspect of IC Analytics altogether: independence, which translates into more transparency and simplicity, given that there are no strings attached. The square dot under the I not only converts the I into an exclamation mark (symbolizing raising the volume in order to stand out among the surrounding noise), but also represents the fact that IC Analytics is a 1-person endeavor. The line next to the dot symbolizes continuity. Additionally, the dot and the long line represent the letter "A" in Morse code, completing the acronym ICA (for IC Analytics). The "Analytics" part of the name is because basically everything needs analysis. ==We always follow [[From Whiteboard to Market#The Technical Factor|analysis-synthesis]] cycles, and my main activity when engaging with customers will be to analyze things, to figure things out for—and with—them.==
## The Big Why
Tech endeavors are full of challenges: Funding, supply chain, design, engineering processes, team dynamics; many things can go wrong. And if something can go wrong, it will. More than 20 years of developing technology have provided me with a rich set of skills and tools to help those struggling to design an elusive technical product, considering a risky investment, or building an engineering team. And everything with a healthy sense of urgency, experimentation, and minimalism: do it now, or someone else will.
## How
